I am currently playing professional soccer here all the way from the United States. They are everywhere. Almaty. Here is a couple of reasons why you should visit Almaty, Kazakhstan and why I loved it there so much! Not only Kazakhstan is the biggest country in Central Asia but Almaty airport is the biggest one in the country. Love the emerging vibrant culture specially the coffee shops! My Russian is really terrible, I can communicate in the basic way and somehow get around with that.

Wish you’d had a better time as it really is a fun place most of the time. I’m not asking rhetorically, I’m genuinely curious because it’s something I struggle with. Below are some top-quality tours of Almaty city as well as some of the most notable day trips in the area.Anytime you head to a city with a city pass, regardless of where in the world it may be, you should try to get your hands on a city pass. I’m so excited to hear you found it to be friendly and laid back, I tend to love places with those friendly chill vibes. Almaty, or Alma-ata Алматы is the largest city in Kazakhstan with a population of 1,421,868 (at 1st of August 2010) with about 9% of the countries population located in one city, it is certainly a hustling and bustling place to be. I was pretty nervous if this really is true as I didn’t register after all but when I was leaving to Kyrgyzstan the only concern of the border control was if I need a visa to Kyrgyzstan as they couldn’t find it in my passport (we don’t need one). For the end I left a few announcements that might interest you:If you enjoyed that post why don't you share it with your friends? I feel like I’ve read several accounts of being left at the border of KG and KZ, and want to know about your experience with that trip.Sorry for butting in here but the more information the better, right? Another part looks like candy disposer in the shops and that’s where you collect your change if you inserted more than the fare (it was 80 tenge for a ride, 0.20€!). On the other hand I have no idea which structure came first…Thanks for the thoughts! I don’t know any Kazakh and it is completely different than Russian (it is more of a Turkic language), but I do know how to say ‘thank you’ in it and can at least spew that out if I realize someone is speaking Kazakh to me instead of Russian. Most restaurants are getting around to having English menus and there is enough English floating around that it shouldn’t impose too many issues for you as a traveler. The renter told me someone was staying in the apartment that I had booked the day prior and tried upselling me to a more expensive one.I, naturally, lashed out and the ordeal lasted for a week but she finally agreed to allow me to pay the initial rate for the upgraded space. I visited Almaty on business earlier this year, and I was most impressed. While I am not a huge fan of the standard coffee shops in Almaty, I do appreciate a good cup of coffee and I can always find one. He or she may not even make you wait with a number as there is someone designated to help English speakers and tourists. But of course I’m in love with all other things in Europe!
