Brian Ives // Managing Editor, Beasley Media Original Foreigner vocalist Lou Gramm had to exit the band's North American tour last week where he had to be hospitalized due to a severe respiratory infection. Rock on," Gramm said in a statement.“We will all miss Lou at our upcoming shows and we join all his family, friends, and fans in wishing him a speedy recovery," guitarist Mick Jones said.Gramm and Jones formed Foreigner in 1976, teaming up on hits like “Cold As Ice,” “Feels Like the First Time," “Juke Box Hero,” “Waiting for a Girl Like You” and “Hot Blooded.” They were inducted in the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2013.Gramm, who now lives in Webster, N.Y., has battled multiple health issues in recent years and said in 2017 he was planning to retire from performing. Gramm has toured the last few years with The Lou Gramm Band, made up of local musicians. He will be looking forward to seeing you next year in 2021.
