Dhadak is a fantastic movie in it's own right. [7] Dhadak received negative reviews from critics. These days it's simply cool to bash bollywood, and go gaga over anything hollywood. 9 out of 15 found this helpful. The film starts like a normal bollywood romance, a boy meets a girl, they fall in love....romance pursues. Do not watch this.

Such a cult movie SAIRAAT cut to mince by KJ ... Go n watch Sairaat once more than this Dhadak disaster...

It's like a part of a Masaan has been taken and powdered with usual useless waste.

Was this review helpful? AKA: Dhadak 2018. I'm surprised that why Shashank Khaitan is even handed projects and something like the remake of an iconic movie... Creepy acting, useless adaptation of original movie , time waste movie. I was initially in no mood of watching Dhadak since I was so in love with the original one and another reason was the direction and the production house. The film is a remake of the 2016 Marathi language film Sairat.

All those who are not appreciating this movie, seem to me against love stories like this one, which is ridiculous, I think people in India have problem with girls from remote areas fall in love, so they have made propaganda to devalue this movie. It maybe a remake and not better than the original. The director tried to portray the reality of what's happening in a real innocent love and the life afterwards. 55 out of 88 found this helpful. 29 out of 49 found this helpful. Jahnvi Kapoor and Ishan Khatter are not pros at acting, but thier raw unpolished performances make you believe in the characters. He was brilliant just like his debut movie into the clouds and we can say Jahnvi was decent in serious situation although some of them were so rushed which just destroyed the essence of the scene from the original one or had no so essence.

Just to launch 2 stars, they ruined an excellent story. Maybe Sairat is much greater than this, but that doesn't undermine this movie!

Dhadak subtitles. Especially when policitcal parties have so much hate against other communities and regions. The trailer was bad but the film is even worse. Just pale 1-D direction .And she was easy on eyes on lighter moments. The first half has shown an innocent love and is a fine entertainment, in second half, story gets serious, but I can relate the whole story as well as the acting, so it is a thumbs up!

Dhadak is a great movie if we ignore the usual formula of boy meets girl, girls father not agreeing and so on, the movie shot beautifully and takes a serious turn in the second half, sometimes we its never a win win situation, the choices that we make determines our fate, the movie shows us that our decisions in life at an early stage can be fateful,regretful or overcoming, here we see the young leads go through struggles in starting a new life with obstacles and love overpowering the odds. Set in Rajasthan, this love story explores how the protagonists deal with issues like differences between castes and honor killings.
