I heard the newest remake with Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan is much better - … An overworked mother and her daughter do not get along. Twelve-year-old over-achiever Layne finds her orderly life thrown into a tailspin when she discovers a sophisticated talking car named "V.I.N." At seventeen, Elizabeth Hunter has more than enough to worry about in surviving her unstable mother and getting through school.


Dueling high school debate champs who are at odds on just about everything forge ahead with ambitious plans to get into the colleges of their dreams. Very typical, predictable, and not all that funny, but also very watchable and earnest, clean entertainment.
