Am no religious too (it gives me cringe just talking about it) however I have a great eye on arts and architectures.Wow sometimes when you visit a church it's just simply to observe and maybe a little exploring of the structure and architecture but with museum and gardens this is more bang for your buck. The church design is beautiful and I love the classic design. This is awesome that you had the opportunity to visit. And in 1993, San Agustin Church becomes one of the world heritage site awarded by UNESCO. And it is one of the structure that is very interesting on photographs.I am completely captivated by your photography, writing and vision!
Very beautiful architecturally speaking as well as all of the artistry they have there. Note the intricate trompe l’oeil frescos on the vaulted ceiling. The present structure is actually the third Augustinian church erected on the site. Philippines is blessed to have these churches still standing proud after all these years. There are many more old churches in the country especially in the southern part in Visayan regions :)it's definitely majestic, architecturaly speaking!
